Services & coverage
Where do you offer on-site support?
We work on-site across Jeffreys Bay, Humansdorp, St Francis Bay and the wider Kouga region. For everyone else in South Africa, our remote support is just as capable for most software, configuration and monitoring work.
Do you support both Windows and Mac?
Yes — Windows is our bread and butter, and we handle common macOS support, upgrades and data work. We'll tell you upfront if a job needs a specialist.
Can you really print a replacement part for my appliance?
Often, yes. Bring the broken part (even in pieces) and we'll assess whether a printed or machined replacement will handle the load and temperature. We're honest when it won't.
Billing & bundles
How do support bundle hours work?
Hours are consumed in 15-minute increments for remote and telephonic support, so a quick fix costs a quarter-hour, not a full one. Bundles run per calendar month and unused hours don't roll over. MSP services are billed in advance on the 15th of each month and are due by month-end.
What does a call-out cost?
Travel is calculated as round-trip kilometres times the current AA rate, plus half of one standard hour. On-site visits have a 2-hour minimum stay. Bundles at Standard level and above include free call-outs (see the bundle comparison).
Which payment methods do you accept?
EFT (FNB), PayFast (subject to a 6% processing fee) and ATM cash deposit — always with your quote/invoice number or account number as reference. Our upcoming online store will add SnapScan and Paystack. Details in the Payment Gateway Policy.
Do you require deposits?
Yes, for supplied goods: 50%–80% depending on value, because hardware is ordered per project. Labour-only work generally needs no deposit unless stated on the quote.
What happens if I pay late?
Standard invoices are due within 14 days. Overdue accounts attract a flat R1,000 administrative fee plus interest at Prime/CPI + 2% per annum compounded daily, and any promotional discounts on the invoice fall away. Full detail in the Terms of Service.
Workmanship & data
Is your work guaranteed?
Consulting labour is guaranteed for 30 days, excluding faults caused by third-party changes, misuse or environmental factors (power surges, lightning, liquid damage).
My drive failed. Can you recover my data?
First: stop using the drive. We start with an assessment, then quote. Logical failures (deleted files, corruption) are recovered in-house at R 249/hour; our full investigation package for drives up to 500 GB is R 3 500 including a clone and incident report. Physically damaged drives are referred to specialist clean-room partners with your approval.
How is my personal information handled?
In line with POPIA (Act 4 of 2013): we collect only what we need, protect it, and never sell it. See our Privacy Policy and POPIA Compliance pages.
Do you keep stock of hardware?
No — we deliberately carry no local stock. Hardware is ordered per project from our supplier network, which keeps pricing sharp and avoids selling you yesterday's shelf stock. It also means returns follow our suppliers' processes — see the Refund Policy.
Hospitality
Can I view the smart-home demo without booking a stay?
Yes — book a walk-through and we'll show you the automations live. Staying over is simply the full-immersion version.
What if something breaks during my stay?
Report it straight away — accidents happen and reported damage is handled reasonably. Unreported breakages discovered after checkout are charged at replacement cost plus labour at double the standard fee, per our terms.

Support that starts with listening
The faster we understand the problem, the faster you're back at work. Here's how to reach us and what happens next.
Report a problem
1. Contact us
Phone/WhatsApp 073 445 7881 or email support@csscomp.co.za. Bundle clients: use your agreed support channel for priority routing.
2. Tell us three things
What were you doing when it broke? What exactly does the screen say (a photo is perfect)? How urgent is it — inconvenient, or business-stopping?
3. We respond
Standard requests are handled in business hours; Priority/Urgent service is available at the published rate when you can't wait. Remote sessions bill in fair 15-minute increments.

Help yourself first (60 seconds)
Frozen or misbehaving machine
Save what you can, restart, and try once more. You'd be amazed — and if it recurs, tell us it recurs; that detail changes the diagnosis.
Suspected data loss
Stop using the machine immediately. Don't install recovery tools, don't keep browsing. Power down and call us — continued use overwrites recoverable data.
